Steeped in Mellencamp-styled storytelling with countrified heart and the right dose of rock ‘n’ roll attitude, St. Joseph, MO singer and songwriter John Goolsby has been introducing his “country soul” sound throughout the Midwest for almost a decade. Influenced by such great artists as Bryan Adams, Otis Redding and Chris Stapleton, he taps into the spirit of classic country and Americana with a modern spin. Goolsby continues to write and perform, sharing the stage with such artists as Pat Green, Wade Bowen, Old Dominion and Darius Rucker and drawing inspiration from the blue-collar tales and beliefs that have shaped him. Working tirelessly, he’s created a sound that might just make you feel at home. He is currently in production of his next full-length album with producer and hit songwriter, Dave Pahanish.
